About Us
The department was established in 1995 and is involved in imparting knowledge of Biochemistry to a wide variety of students of different courses as MD Biochemistry, MBBS, B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, B.Sc. Optometry, B.Sc. Nursing, and Diploma in Cardiac technology and GNM nursing, B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Life Sciences) along with hospital lab services.
Our aim to make the UG & PG students understand the scientific basis of life processes at the molecular level in health and diseases and to orient them towards application of the acquired knowledge in solving clinical problems.
The department helps clinicians in the diagnosis and management of patients by providing routine and specialized biochemical investigations through its well-equipped laboratories with latest technology analyzers which is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL).
As part of outreach initiative, we cater to the patients in remote areas by providing laboratory facilities during medical camps and various screening programs of the community.
Department has dedicated faculty and technical staff which is actively involved in academics, research activities and hospital laboratory services.
Department Mission
Impart comprehensive knowledge of Biochemistry to a diverse student base. Foster an understanding of the scientific basis of life processes at the molecular level, equipping students to apply their knowledge to solve clinical problems.
Provide vital support to clinicians in the diagnosis and management of patients through routine and specialized biochemical investigations, leveraging well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art technology accredited by NABL.
Extend laboratory facilities to patients in remote areas through outreach initiatives during medical camps and community screening programs.
Engage dedicated faculty and technical staff actively in academics, research activities, and hospital laboratory services to contribute to the overall advancement of knowledge and healthcare.
